**🎙️ Podcast with Sal Baglio: “They Came to Rock” Soundtrack & Rock Opera**
Sal Baglio of rock-and-roll project **The Amplifier Heads** joins forces with soul powerhouse **Barrence Whitfield** to debut their high-voltage single **“They Came to Rock”** via Rum Bar Records. This hard-hitting title track anchors the immersive rock opera ***Songs From They Came To Rock***, executive-produced by Norty Cohen, chronicling an alien invasion where extraterrestrials land on what they call “The Vinyl Frontier” to experience Earth’s music through cosmic static.
Baglio, veteran of The Stompers, crafted the concept album and describes it as “a musical speed rocket trip” with fantasy, fact, narrative drive, and musical cohesion. With Whitfield delivering feral, sky-shattering vocals and Baglio’s textured arrangements spanning brass, theremin, mellotron, and more, the release builds out a dramatic tapestry across ten songs and eight interludes. The single follows earlier releases exploring UFO lore—including Rendlesham Forest and Betty & Barney Hill stories.
Stay tuned: the soundtrack is set for release alongside live stage performances of the rock opera—designed for rock fans and alien enthusiasts alike to blast off together.
